Test Cricket Tours website

Does anyone else remember this site, which was specific to test cricket only? There would be a list of the touring party, replacements, those who went home early, levels of test experience amongst the squad, the number of tests involving each player on the tour, the team for every match, the selection committees (the initial one plus the one on tour,) a list of bibliographical references and a comments section.

My favourite section concerned the date of a touring party's selection and how many days it occurred before the match of the tour. Also about the dates of departure from home and arrival in intended country plus how many days the journeys took. Also, departure date from the tour plus date of arrival back home with details of the length of the journey and the overal length of the tour. The names of the boats would be listed also and even stopping off points along the way (not just Colombo but also such as travelling across the USA from Los Angeles to New York at the end of the 1936-37 tour.)

Unfortunately, this wonderful site disappeared a while ago (maybe a year ago. I'm not sure.) Has anyone else seen a comparable one or, indeed, know where the original can be found now on the web? I do hope so!

Many thanks for reading this.
Andrew Jackson.

I think Charles Davis in his stats blog at some point said that he was recovering that site from the Wayback internet archive.

"Unfortunately the excellent "test-cricket-tours" website has gone down ... I don't know if it will come back, but in case it doesn't I have started a scrape of the old copies of the website pages found on the Wayback Machine. There are hundreds of pages to download. I will post these on my database and change the links but this will take some time."
