Which pair do you rate higher (not asking who you would have in your team)?

The assumption here is that you may have a preference for bats or bowlers in your all time ranking.

Wow this is tough, the two best bowlers of all time vs the two best batsmen of all time (bar Bradman). Not sure at all here.

Here’s a question, what’s more impressive, Hobbs playing so old or Sachin playing so young?
I think there are more examples of great cricketers playing during Hobbs' time at an advanced age, whereas Sachin's level as a teenager is unmatched imo.
Cricket is a much more physical snd faster sport now, probably why we don't see players playing till that age anymore. Scoring big runs in that amount as a teenager against Imran, Akram, Donald, Warne, Waqar etc. is unmatched.

Not close, Hobbs at old age, Sachin at young age is great and all but he just managed to be a somewhat decent player as a Teenager, He was also rather fit and healthy.

Hobbs was not just decent but also was one of the best Batsmen in the world, seen as the senior and superior to Sutcliffe who is one of the greats, has a better record against fast bowling than Hammond and he wasn't anywhere near as healthy as Sachin.

being a top 15 Batsmen of all time while unhealthy and in your mid 40s >>>>>>> being a 35 averaging Batsmen when you're 16-18.

peak to peak, Hobbs is the best one here, Hobbs > Marshall > McGrath > Tendulkar, so I'll go with him.
