Which ODI AR would you want in your side?
Flintoff in ODI is pure ATG numbers, 32 batting average and a striker, 24 bowling average in the 2000s? pure awesomeness.I would take Flintoff in ODIs just for his bowling skills alone. I remember his spell to Sachin Tendulkar and Virendra Sehwag in WC 2003.
They (particularly Tendulkar) were in full flow, absolutely ripping apart the English attack of Caddick and Anderson, when Flintoff came into bowl in the 10th over.
Flintoff pretty much instantly removed Sehwag. And over the next 30 mins, he bowled 10 or 11 deliveries to Tendulkar (almost all of them in
the first 15 overs with most fielders in the circle), from which Tendulkar managed to eke out just 1 or 2 runs before Flintoff finally got him too.
It was one of the greatest spells of ODI bowling I have seen. Strangling one of the greatest ODI batsmen in full flight and getting his wicket too.
Difference between Flintoff and rest of the English bowlers in that match was simply unbelievable.
Jayasuriya is a much, much better option for the additional spinner's slot. Also a solid opener. You could play all 3 together so I'd take all of them .
5.Symonds - Off Spinner
7.Flintoff - Fast bowler
8.Klusener - Medium Pacer

For a couple of years, after that his pace dropped sharply.Btw Klusener could bowl at serious pace. His fastest delivery was clocked at 154 kmph.
I think you are underrating Symonds in the field. Apart from Harris, no top other allrounder came close as a fielder although Jayasuriya and Maxwell were/are very good. I also rate Collingwood as an all-rounder as he was a decent fielder.Jayasuriya is a much, much better option for the additional spinner's slot. Also a solid opener.
Symonds is no way making it in. I'd choose Shakib or Yuvraj ahead of him comfortably.
