The game tonight has had more of a "World Cup atmosphere" for mine, at least early on. The early period with Gilchrist getting out and then Ponting and Hayden batting was quite excited, and the crowd seemed really into it, despite being pretty sparse. The music certainly adds something, too.

Yeah you can sort of see how it happened, he just totally lost it for a second and misjudged the delivery, but it's still really weird to see in an international game. Was playing a blinder too.

Its the constant sound of horns and trumpets and what not. It just adds something to the game that can't be explained.

What makes it even stranger is that it was hardly a time to be leaving balls. I think he must have been thinking about his 50, got overcautious and abandoned his natural game.
