Panesar survived for 28 balls ffs, even you scaly can't blame him for this debacle8-)
He's not to blame for this game, but he still shouldn't be in the side and he shouldn't be getting out like that. But that's the way it goes for England. As long as you get to 20 or hang around a bit you're absolved of any responsibility and you can happily throw away your wicket no problem.

No Panesar? You would rather have Dairylea Dumple (Dalrymple) in the side?!

Well, I'm not accusing SP of bigotry in class, but he does have certain players he always blames, no matter what the situation, and on this occasion Monty seems to be well down the pecking order imo. So his spite seems a little misplaced.

Anywhoo, all over, Hall bowled averagley well and managed a michelle, says it all really.

I'm going out, which coincidently, so are England.

I'd rather have Broad in the side, or some seamers.

There's no point having a not very good restrictive type bowler in when the side can't bat for toffee.
Broad in this side will be welcomed by me with two open arms, but Panesar is not the man to go.

I also think we should play Prior.. he could open and take adv of the Powerplays.

If you look at the larger picture then its pretty safe to say that England is a pathetic odi team with a few good odi player in it.

Yeah for Prior was a revelation last time he opened an innings in ODI cricket.

And I would have Ian Blackwell in ahead of both Panesar and Dalrymple. Save Panesar for the Test side and he should have a long and successful career.

Bring back Graeme Hick, Robin Smith and Neil Fairbrother. :p

In all seriousness, to make my life more interesting, I wouldn't mind England taking some wickets to at least give me reason to keep the radio on.

England using their ODI side as a U23 side after this WC = possibly a good idea.
