So NZ, Pakistan and it would appear Ireland (who are just ahead of Zimbabwe and Scotland). Tough on the Scots who are clearly the best of that lot.
I'm not sure if a close loss by #12 Scotland vs #2 Australia will give them a points increase or decrease? This game still needs to be included before the 30 June cut-off date (as does the IRE loss to Pak)

Current points Ireland 195 to Scotland 192

That seems to be the table as of June 16th, which I assume would include those results. I doubt a close loss helps you much. If it doesn't include those results, then Zimbabwe ( who didn't even qualify for this) could be the automatic!!!!

ICC Rankings are updated every Wednesday so current Rankings were updated for matches only up to Tue 11 June. So two Ireland games and one Scotland game still to be added

So by not qualifying, therefore not losing to the Test Nations, Zimbabwe have done themselves a favour for the next one. Dubious to say the least...I'd say qualifying for this one ought to be a pre-requisite too.

Based purely on current ICC Rankings, Group 1 definitely looks an easier Group for the top 2 teams to qualify for semi-finals (I can see Group 2 coming down to NRR (so whichever smacks USA the most)

Group 1
#1 - India
#2 - Australia
#9 - Bangladesh
#10 - Afghanistan

Group 2
#3 - West Indies
#4 - England
#5 - South Africa
#17 - USA

In theory agree, but hard not to imagine Afghanistan in particular causing some trouble for the big 2.

England may benefit on this occasion from playing USA last in their group so knowing what will be required from a NRR perspective, although WI play SA later on.

Weather could yet play a part too, looks fine for matches in St Lucia, but Barbados and Antigua look a bit more questionable.

Prediction: Either Bangladesh or Afghanistan will turn over one of the big teams in G1.

I just checked the ICC Rankings site and it says T20I team rankings are updated after every game (player rankings updated every Wed). The T20 Team rankings haven't been updated since 12 June, whereby Ireland and Scotland have both lost since, likely placing them both below Zimbabwe.

Conspiracy theory: What a disaster if Zimbavwe qualify for next WC purely because they didn't play this one, so ICC keeping it quiet by not updating rankings?

ICC has finally updated the T20I rankings and New Zealand, Pakistan and Ireland qualify for the next World Cup as top 3 outside the Super 8's (+ co-host Sri Lanka)
