Reading the opinions on the Player Comparison thread, I share these views.
I do, however, occasionally look at (and even vote) when the comparison is like for like - eg opener v opener.
Having said that, some comparisons are absolutely ridiculous.
I would be quite happy if the thread disappeared as it clutters the column of latest posts.

It was a good move to make "Drafts" and "Player Comparisons" separate threads as posts in these areas were cluttering the "Latest Posts" lists and frustrating many members.
There is a difference between the two threads and how they impinge on other members' enjoyment. Since the beginning of this year, there have been 3 new drafts and an ongoing draft that have attracted posts. By contrast, in less than 4 days there have been about 25 "Player Comparisons", most of which involve little or no like-for-like comparisons. This obviously clutters the "Latest Posts" lists, making it difficult for members to follow more interesting topics.
If it was possible, these Player Comparison threads should be precluded from the Latest Posts as they are an unwanted distraction.
Perhaps those few members resposible for the annoying plethora of "comparisons" should be requested to limit these posts to no more than one a day.

I believe player comparisons emanated from the ATG thread (if I am not wrong)

It's now devolved to these ridiculous comparisons because we gave it shelter and fed it...enabling what's come out of this.

Of course, I have fun with it....the answer is always Jadeja, etc.

I understand the sentiment of it takes up so much space that is on the 'What's New' heading...We are in the age of quantity over quality.
