FHK have had the wood over ZCC in recent encounters. The last win was particularly impressive - they were outrated yet still won quite comfortably at home. Match two of the series today, with ZCC making some adjustments to their XI while FHK are unchanged.

In the build up to that game, both clubs are now facing off in a full-strength Dev friendly over at DDMCG. ZCC electing to bowl first upon winning the toss.

Should look to schedule some T20s between the two clubs too - last time they played in that format was in April. ZCC have won the last 7 T20s between the two clubs, you have to go all the way back till 9th Novemeber 2021 to find the last time FHK won a T20 against them!

Tony Chung is on a level apart. 94* off 89, didn't get any strike in the last couple of overs otherwise would have tonned up. Good hand by Winthrop as well.

206 for the ZCC U21s to win. Game on.

Did it quite easily in the end, with 6 wickets and 31 balls to spare. New boy Akalnivas Gugral with 68 off just 49 balls, but nearly everyone contributed. Really solid stuff by the ZCC Dev side, regaining some pride back for the club!

GG and ataraxia play to a blockbuster.

Ataraxia's death bowling delivered in the end tho...
Rusty's knock (112 off 52) brightened my day considerably! Very good effort from GG's batting in the end, but they couldn't quite get it.

When Frost fires, it's just brilliant. Need to get him to bowl again, haven't had much time recently for order-setting and such, should get back into Stumped in a few days.

It was worth the price of admission. The match was everything you’d want from a T20 match. Runs and wickets…lots of boundaries. Insane knocks….I could go on.
It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat

AX-W playing Shri's team in this week's SOD. We make 212, looking like a close match.

lol at FHK getting Madani; he obviously won't be behind the stumps with Chung around, but will he get into the FHK first XI as a batter?

ZCC managed to bounce back strongly in Game 2 of the 6-match SOD series against FHK.

Arif Jalal returned to the XI to replace Ghous Ghani as pace-bowling allrounder, and also took over the captaincy from Danial Ahsan. While his bowling wasn't the deciding factor, his captaincy surely helped. He won a crucial toss, and lead the way as ZCC defended 240 in the field. A shuffle in the batting lineup saw Sajith (who scored 59) and Shahbaz reunited as openers, with Shabadpreet Samra dropping down to 6, where he slammed 69 off just 61 balls. ZCC's bowling orders were more refined as well, and Tim Chester wheeled away for 3/35 in his 10 overs, including the key wickets of Nathan Law and Tin Yau for 1st-ball ducks! A couple of runouts for ZCC as well, as FHK were bundled out for just 171.

Game 3 is now underway, and Tin Yau once again opted to bat first on winning the toss. Both teams unchanged, and FHK are on track for a 300+ score, courtesy a blistering 82 from Nathan Law and a steady 70 from Tony Chung. Yau is on 35* and accelerating nicely at the death - this is going to be a steep challenge for ZCC in the 2nd innings!

After Ashgrove won away by three wickets on Thursday, AXI have won away by three runs today. Today's match was an encounter which we never looked likely to win: reduced to 44-4, Branning played an excellent hand of 96 (97) to haul AXI up to some form of respectable total. Kurt Murdoch got going a bit further after Branning's agonising dismissal, but the lower order didn't back that up. 236-8.

Good hands came from Zosongo, Azam, Bilal, and Goonewardene, before a sudden collapse led Ashgrove to collapse just short. Alex Darnell nabbed 4-49. Thanks for the game, didn't exactly feel like we deserved to win it lol. Shout out to Zac Chambers, who despite looking unlikely to have an extended senior career, has established himself as quality both as a hitter and behind the sticks. Six catches for him. Equals (or maybe beat) his own club record.

Well, they were looking on for the 300, but zero runs off the last 11 balls left them to 285.

ZCC getting absolutely curbstomped here. What a display from FHK. ZCC actually have the ratings advantage too, but that means **** all. Ivan Lam making up for his lack of run scoring with 3 early wickets and the runout of Raun.

2-1 for FHK going into the ZCC leg of the series, but this defeat is going to sting for a while.

Good game but losing 4/10 around the 40 over mark wasn’t ideal. As you say, Chambers catching pigeons behind the sticks
