Stumped!

Wonder if me and @ataraxia are close to breaking a record for most runs in an inter-CW Dev match as I am about to head to sleep. In our 40 overs Charminster CC posted 276/9. In response Ataraxia Wellington are 162/4 after 26 overs. Going at 6.23 Run Rate with a Required of 8.21. Only 5 runs behind where we were after 26 overs with same amount of wickets lost.
Pretty decent stuff from the AX-W batting lineup, except no one went big and we lost our last five wickets for one run. Good game!

Wellington are now rated behind the near-bots we played in Season 1. This homegrown only stuff is tough.

And yes it is a bit strange that Morpork are so clear of the field after placing fifth in the CWC4 league but we have won seven matches on the bounce (and the eighth was a narrow loss)

I think AX-W got a better squad + early scouts than AXI, but yeah it's tough going. Despite seemingly acing the fielding RNG every time, we still perform a solid 5K under what we are rated. I think the real problem with both sides isn't the depth, it's a lack of properly good guys.

There's nothing I can do to improve AX-W, sadly. It is a pretty promising squad though.

AXI being solidly mid-table is annoying lol

These look quite realistic! Gut feel (so rubbish!) for me is that my two teams aren't quite as good as their number but I assume the points is a sort of rolling average so their trending i could be probably lower. Free HK you might think would be a bit higher and Morpork 2nd perhaps but nearer the pack, rather than only 60 points off ***** (Morpork's last win was a big one so maybe that helps in how the points are tallied?)

Great work!

FHK have dropped a lot of points in Dev friendlies - the next generation needs work. We also played two 'Exhibition' matches with ZCC featuring all the young prospects we're trying to sell off. Those were utter thrashings lol.

Thanks! And yes, the margin of victory does play a part.

Yep the intra-club has a tendency to send ZCC and FHK a bit out of whack

TMOs seemed to have been hammered hard recently...
One win in the last nine will do that.

Hat-trick alert today, Adrie Goosen (17yo, 5/22 in all) in the DEV table-topper - chasing a nice round 150 to win

How do the rankings look if you exclude intra-club games?

I always say that Buy Ins are a better team than Jura at senior level. That big win for Jura was a weird one - if you look at the team lists it is all the normal names and the Expert Preview has them close and all my orders were in line with the conditions. I expected a close game but Buy Ins to probably win. In the end that defeat saw Buy Ins out and Jura in to the QF - which was/is a shot in the foot - though as Jura gets older each week its overall ability is improving ; the Buy Ins deteriorates week in week out until one veteran is pensioned out for another slightly younger, cheap pensioned 'buy-in' from the TM!!
