Sometimes your gun bowlers get crap stats cuz they're bowling the hard overs, or because you give them the full quota of overs in conditions that don't suit them. Happened to Taufeeq today.

Looks like the ZCC U21s used up all their good performances in yesterday's friendlies - getting absolutely thumped in the league today. Loads of dropped catches. We could be chasing 300 vs a team that rates 1k less than us

An absolutely gun young BD spinner just drifted onto the TM. Tragically, but not unexpectably, he's quickly gone past my price range. 37 skill 17yo, ffs.

AX-W played Charminster CC, formerly JoJo, overnight. A nice, crafted partnership between Lawrie Milbank (51 off 39) and Harris Ghaffar (41 off 43). 132-7 was too much in a T20 for my paltry batting stocks to chase down. Only the SA imports, du Preez and Goliath, offered up any resistance in a random meme partnership. Oh, and bowler John Ward continuing to prove adept at soaking up T20 balls. 4-6 for Scott Davis, and 99 all out for AX-W.

Let's not get all grumpy though! Ashgrove won their T20, and AXI are on top in ours.

Might be one of my best wins to be fair. Huge in the context of the promotion battle. Still can’t afford a slip up and missing out an earlier BP could still bite me in the ass if I lose the return leg.

The fact that he wasn't already on my Nat shortlist (and I have 128 players on it!) suggests I still have a lot of scouting left to do!

Made my day really - he's going to have a huge future for us. We desperately needed a 50+ pot player in that age group. And he can bat!

ZCC just chased down 206 to win a T20! Raun Shkorer in beast mode again, 83* off 49. We lost 3 wickets at 203 but Sampath held his nerve to help us over the line. Cracking result. Even better given we lost Sajith 2nd ball of the chase.

Nah, injuries are just fitness issues. Shouldn't affect his quality. Players just have lean runs sometimes. Also worth checking how you're using him - any changes in the orders/overs he's bowling? Perhaps he's building more pressure now and it's your other bowlers taking wickets. Also is he bowling to better batters now, or has he been in poor touch?

I have used him as an opening bowler since day one... best bowler numbers wise (39/47). I have been working on his pace but that has not caused any drops in stat numbers. Even in div 2 his quality of delivery has stayed above 7+ (last game was above 8). And he has the best touch at 15 in my squad.

Passmore has improved and continued on in the same old from last year, number drop because in higher division, but still taking wickets and doing a job. Burger not even keeping the runs down at the moment. I just don't understand what is going on. If he went for runs but still took wickets I would put it down to the increased speed. But so few wickets and still bowling high quality...

As you say, lean patch and just hope the numbers start swinging his way again.

ZCC 30/2 batting first vs the Astronauts! Pitch isn't that bad - lack of pace and a bit of wear, but should be alright to bat on. Been some exceptional new ball bowling + a real lack of intent from our top order today. Not a single Attacking shot so far! We lost Shahbaz early and then Sajith once he looked set. Softer middle order today as well, with Madani playing in place of Zack and Ghani in place of Hashim.

Don't think I've ever seen our top order start so slowly. Wonder what a good score would be here.

Excellent 88 from Raun, he's been churning out some good scores lately despite being on just 6 touch. Nice little cameo from Ghani as well!

58/2 in the first 25 overs, 181/5 in the next 25. We didn't play an attacking shot till the last ball of the 21st over! Feels like this pitch isn't that bad to bat on, we just started really poorly. 240 is good but might be slightly below par, let's see how we bowl. This combination haven't been that great in recent OD friendlies, still lacking a bit of accuracy and skill.

Pitch isn't that bad - lack of pace and a bit of wear, but should be alright to bat on.

Maybe I'm wrong about this. 57 moisture, 38 wear and 24 speed. Doesn't seem particularly deadly tbh. 39 wind, 44 cloud, 39 heat.
