Steven Finn

International Captain
Well he was taking wickets rather easily maybe his weight issues cost him during the England fitness blip tests

State Captain
He should have played over 100 Tests by now and had 400 wickets. He made his Test debut three years before Chris Woakes (and he's a month younger). Shame how his career unravelled really.

Man I had such high hopes for him around 2016-ish. He had a great comeback in the Ashes and then backed it up with a really strong series in SA that winter on some decks that English seamers typically struggle with. He was the type of bowler who only really needed consistency and accuracy, it's not like he ever relied on express pace or late swing, just a length bowler with height. So after having a massive fall from grace in 2013, earned his way back in and then taking wickets with accuracy and now experience, here's me thinking he's probably cracked it. Completely not to be though.
