Sri Lanka vs South Africa

I know that we've had bad luck with D/L in the past - but this is surely the worst we've ever been screwed by it.

How exactly is that screwed by D/L. Lost half the side so should be expected to be much nearer the target.
Long before the end result, mate. I posted that after the change of innings. The target went from 4.5 RPO to over 6.

Edit: Went to go look up the actual numbers. 50 runs and 21 overs were shed from the total.

Still looks about right though - still got 10 wickets so the target looks as gettable as the original 50 over score.

South Africa have been playing terribly.

Would have been great to have at least a couple of Test matches though, they would have been much more interesting than the ODIs.

And we would see how Vern does on the flatter Asian pitches.

Also, why hasn't this been stickied yet?

The what was the WI-SL Test series cancelled for?
The WI-SL tests were cancelled because WI wanted to include India for a Tri-series. (sounds like something SLC would have suggested anyway)
The SL-SA tests were cancelled because SL wanted to have the **** house SLPL, which is now also cancelled.

SLC has been trying desperately to match the gold standard of cricket administrative incompetence (PCB) in the last few years, they are getting close.

Gosh, Peterson just came so close to, presumably, becoming the first person to hold the record for most expensive over in both ODI and test cricket. Just one run...
