Most wickets in the U19 World Cup. He also can carry a bat.

He has a similar action to Steyn. Although not as quick, he's far more accurate.

His the most talented youth cricketer in South Africa (alongside Jonathan Vandiar), takes wickets for fun with the new ball, gets a decent amount swing and he can bat. If it was up to Ray Jennings, Parnell like his fellow U19 World Cup 'stars', Tim Southee and Virat Kohli would already be playing for the Proteas.

Good chance he may feature against Kenya or even Bangladesh in the coming months as South Africa look towards youth and a lots of allrounders.

Great series for the batsman on both sides, particularly Andrew Puttick who averaged over 100 for the series and was only nine runs away from scoring three centuries on the bounce.

Now that captain Smith is out of the Bangladesh series, Puttick has a more than decent chance of getting the opening slot with Neil Mac. And the good thing for Puttick is that there aren’t too many alternatives elsewhere unless the selectors want three wicket keepers in the side (Heino Kuhn), young Dean Elgar or a 34 year old Herschelle Gibbs .

Done a decent job so far, six overs at less than fours.

Tis rather strange the game is a d/n considering the lights at Potchefstroom are not international or even top domestic cricket class. So it's no surprise to see the Sri Lankans batting first.

South Africa A 222 for 7 (Elgar 86*, Bodi 66) beat Sri Lanka A 218 for 5 (Silva 81, Mathews 53, Kandamby 51, Abdullah 3-36) by three wickets

Also the A team trained today under the watch of senior coach, Mickey Arthur, who wanted a first hand look of some of the younger cricketers who are likely to feature against Bangladesh and Kenya. Arthur also has stated that in the future he would like to see the A side have a far younger looking composition.

The third game is scheduled for tomorrow at Buffalo Park, East London and is a d/n

Sri Lanka A won the third unofficial ODI by 26 runs after Upul Tharanga carried his bat smashing 173. South Africa were always in the game until Gulam Bodi, who like Tharanga made a career best score was dismissed in the 46th over.
