Spearman interested in playing for England

Well it's great to see all those massive crowds around the country, and it's even good fun to watch on TV every now and then...
The alarming part is that people (mainly those damned impetuous Sky Sports commentators) honestly do seem to think it means something in terms of international game-forms. It doesn't. Not a thing.
Not now ..no...but mark my words, this 20/20 thing will become the norm for one day internationals within the next 10 years, I think eventually there will be no need or demand for the 50 over game. 50 overs will soon be thought of as being neither here nor there

20-over cricket will never replace one-day stuff in my view.
One-evening cricket isn't long enough for some people.

Hmm, the wickets slowing down run rate springs to mind...

But maybe that post was an anomaly?
No, yet again you just tried to misphrase what I said to create a contradiction where none existed.
Now you're ignoring the fact that I disproved your mistake and acting as if you were right all along. Another favourite tack of yours.

Within the space of 10 minutes you stated both sides of the argument as your view - I wasn't the only one to pick up on it...

No, it most certainly wasn't - it fits the pattern perfectly - marc71178 trying to manfacture a contradiction in Richard's post where none exists - happens all the time!

No, Neil thought he saw one, I pointed-out why it was not, and you tried to cash-in.
Sadly for you, there was nothing there to work with.

Well if you want to prolong the misconceptions, find the relevant post then.
Until you can do so, it stands that reasonable deduction suggests there was no self-contradiction.

There's no misconception - you clearly stated that what you had previously denied ever happens does happen.

Even if their OD results hadn't improved, if I was England I'd be pretty suspicious of Spearman's "I'm really happy here in Gloucester . . . county cricket is a lot easier than international cricket" comment in a NZ paper recently. To me it smacks of a talented 'comfort zone' player (yes English fans, another one!) who would presumably have no interest in putting on England colours if it wasn't a good financial move for him and his family.

The situation kind of reminds me of the time Michael Campbell (NZ's top golfer) once told a group I was in "I like the way Europe lets me be a big fish in a small pond". Much larger prizemoney lured him to the PGA Tour for a season, where he missed about 8 cuts in a row before bailing.

No, I stated what you clearly misunderstood I had denied ever happens.
What I said was slightly different to what you understood I said.
