On the keeper issue, is Rudi Second white, or is he coloured?
Looks white to me.

My changes to the side would be Morris in for Rabada and Faf in for JP.
Vut that gives us seven white players which I'm not sure will fly.
But if Phehlukwayo plays and De Bruyn gets dropped instead of JP then our cricket is an absolute joke.
Olivier swings the ball as well, don`t take as many wickets as he has without swing. From what I've seen of Olivier he is more in the Morkel mould while Morris does get swing. I'm leaning towards Morris just based on the fact that KG is being replaced and not Morkel.
I`m not convinced of the 2 allrounder route until we have a genuine batting allrounder. Philander has stepped up remarkably, it is still amusing that he was brought into the team due to his batting ability, so he always had this in him. My biggest issue is I don`t trust Morris`s bowling or batting, I hope he proves me wrong. If Mulder/Smith steps up it would be great for us.Right now I think they will stick with the current 6 batsman , '2 all-rounders' route.
Certainly is a new interesting dynamic for us. It may also allow Vernon to max his batting skills and only really need 7/8 overs outside the new ball considering he is 32 and his injury issues.
Obviously personnel in the top 6 is still a debate with Kuhn and Bavuma.
I think this is about QDK, if he is happy to do it and thrives on I say good for him. If he starts feeling like it effecting the wking or batting he must drop down. I would personally be more comfortable with him at 5 though. I wonder if one of the reasons he batted so well though is he knows Amla so well from opening together in LO cricket. Those sort of partnerships help settle players. That could have also been a consideration? Will De Kock continue batting at 4? Massive responsibility to give to your keeper.
I think that's an argument in favour of him batting at four as it would mean that he'd often end up batting with Amla.I think this is about QDK, if he is happy to do it and thrives on I say good for him. Morris is a great bowler, his batting looks loose, but is a fantastic striker of the ball... So that striking ability makes you think LO, but his technique makes me think not great for tests.I wouldn't be against them backing Markram but it will send a bad message to others wanting the chance if you chop Kuhn so quickly.
What I don't get is how Morris has been labelled a limited overs cricketer (IPL & majority of SA performances) but has proven himself in our domestic game with the red ball far more.
Yes, but it normally gets extended.. so unlikely to ever play for SA again. It really sucks Rossouw won't be playing for SA anytime soon
I know very little about Kolpak, when the contract runs out is he eligible again?
Morris has underperformed in the test arena especially with his bowling but it looks like he is settling. Having said that, Philander is the better allrounder IMO. He's very calm when batting and has a very solid technique. Good enough for the number 7 position. There's going to be a serious fight for that position in the future. Philander, Morris, Parnell, Phehlukwayo and possibly Wian Mulder will be vying for it.I agree with most of this re Morris and I'm quite happy to play him instead of Duminy, which is effectively what happened.
Morris' batting is a bit loose, but the question i ask myself is - would he score as many as JP? Probably, so his added bowling prowess already makes us a better team
a Bit unfair to say he has under performed at test level when this is only his third test. That's a very small sample size. I agree that vern is the better allrounder and I really hope we consigned parnell to the dustbin along with duminy...Morris has underperformed in the test arena especially with his bowling but it looks like he is settling.
