He isn't going to make the Test team again is he? Probably can make some nice Franchise cash playing LO cricket. Nice to see Sipamla! Would have loved him on this tour

I know why for both but it's always good to keep that sort of experience playing domestically.

I'm still surprised that Phelukwayo is still turning out in FC games. Never been great at that form of it.

Been a sort of meandering career hasn't it. He has competition for his spot now in Simelane maybe so it might help.

Not saying he will be a star or anything but quietly Porteous might be one to watch. Particularly white ball cricket for middle order batting. Got in through Durban club cricket and done alright with his limited opportunities.

What I look for in batsmen , especially potential players is conversion rate ..

Cause a sign of a good player is someone who cashes in when they are set , Joshua Richards is one of those players.. Should be in NZ right now

The Dolphins give him no real responsibility. He hardly bowls and he bats at 7 or 8 at times. When they select someone like Smuts or Muthusamy in the past it made his role even less meaningful because he had less bowling to do.

Only having his first poor/average season this too. If we couldn't take Hermann, then he would be next can off the rank for me as well.

I think they went with rewarding Moore for form and longevity over him.

I was surprised when Brand got the call up before Richards... And when Moore got selected I just assumed Richards was not available.

In his defence a little, I believe that was for the last tour of New Zealand which was still under COVID restrictions. So not wanting to be stuck in the bubble just to carry drinks makes it a bit more reasonable, although still not the wisest stance to take.
