South Africa 315/3 (McKenzie 141, Kallis 91*, Mortaza 1/57) lead Bangladesh 239 (Hasan 42, Mortaza 41, Steyn 3/56) by 76 runs
Neil McKenzie hit his highest ever test score of 141 to put South Africa in a comfortable position at the end of day two in Chittagong. He hit 15 fours in a flawless innings that lasted 299 balls which helped leave South Africa on 315/3 at the close of play.
South Africa started the day on 19/0 after bowling Bangladesh out for 239. Bangladesh, however, were the team that started the brightest, picking up Herschelle Gibbs for his overnight score of 6, bowled by Saqibul Hasan.
In came McKenzie and along with South African captain Graeme Smith they moved along at a steady pace. Smith brought up his fifty after 134 balls, but the partnership came to an end after putting on 99 together for the third wicket when was adjudged lbw off the bowling of Mohammad Rafique for 53.
The wicket of Smith didn't seem to stop the steady run flow and McKenzie reached his fifty in a timely 79 balls. Between himself and Jacques Kallis they hit a game winning partnership of 185, with McKenzie reaching his third test century whilst Kallis passed fifty. McKenzie fell seven short of his first ever test 150, gifting a catch to Rajin Saleh at point from a full Mashrafe Mortaza delivery.
The pair of Hashim Amla and Kallis only faced four overs before the umpires called an end to the days proceedings. South Africa take a 76 run lead going into the third day and will be looking for a speedy run rate to set up a comfortable victory to wrap up a 1-0 series win.

Bangladesh 157 for 5 (Rahim 27*, Steyn 2/35) & 239 (Hasan 42, Mortaza 41, Steyn 3/56) trail South Africa 411 (McKenzie 141, Kallis 91, Rafique 6/73) by 15 runs
Mohammad Rafique took 6 for 73 as he single handedly gave Bangladesh the slimmest of hopes in salvaging something from the match. It proved to be not enough though as Bangladesh slumped to 157 for 5 at the close of day three, still 15 runs a drift of South Africa's first innings total.
The day started brightly for Bangladesh as they dismissed Jacques Kallis without adding to his overnight score of 91. Rasel then claimed his second wicket of the day by bowling Ashwell Prince for 6.
AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla put together a partnership of 77 to take South Africa onto 400 with only 5 wickets down. Then came the Rafique show, taking the last 5 wickets for just 11 runs. First went de Villiers caught behind for 42 and he was soon followed by Mark Boucher two runs later in the same fashion. Morne Morkel was then dismissed for a two ball duck, and Amla finally departed for 39 from 126 balls. The last wicket of the innings was Makhaya Ntini for one, South Africa posting 411 from 148 overs.
Bangladesh came out to bat and lost wickets at regular intervals. Siddique, Saleh, Ashraful and Aftab all made it into the twenties but were unable to convert good starts into a substantial amount of runs. Rahim and Reza put together an unbeaten stand of 35 to leave Bangladesh 157 for 5 at the end of the third day.
South Africa just need 5 more wickets from a bowling attack that has shared the load so far this tour. Kallis will be looking for one more wicket to take his test match career wickets to 200, a superb milestone for a player who averages over 50 with the bat.

Bangladesh take it to a final day

South Africa 411 & 99 for 2 (Gibbs 36*, Kallis 32*) trail Bangladesh 239 & 293 (Rahim 55, Reza 53, Morkel 5/56) trail by 22 runs
Bangladesh fought valiantly on the fourth day of their second test with South Africa to take the game into the final day. Mushfiqur Rahim hit 55 and along with a 53 from Farhad Reza and an unbeaten 40* from Mohammad Rafique Bangladesh managed to force the South Africans back for a final day, despite only needing 23 to win with 8 wickets in hand.
Rahim and Reza continued their good form from last evening to put on a partnership of 101 for the 6th wicket, in the process bringing up Reza's maiden test half century and only Rahim's third score of over fifty. It was only when Morne Morkel came on to bowl that the pair looked uncomfortable and once Rahim went for 55 Reza soon followed for 53, both wickets falling to Morkel.
Saqibul Hasan and Mashrafe Mortaza both fell to Morkel for 5 but Rafique and Syed Rasel put on 47 for the final wicket to give Bangladesh a respectable total of 293, leaving South Africa with 122 to win.
Bangladesh took the early wicket of Graeme Smith for just 5 and soon dismissed the first innings centurion, Neil McKenzie, for 17 leaving South Africa struggling at 30/2. Jacques Kallis and Herschelle Gibbs steadied the ship to take the score onto 99/2 when the umpires decided to call stumps.
South Africa should pass the target early tomorrow morning, but Bangladesh can take great heart in the fact they have given one of the best sides in the world a competitive series. Bangladesh will now be looking ahead to causing a shock in the ODI series that follows this test.
