Goode tried hi hardest but in the end, i guess the rest of the team were just not good enough...

OK,being serious, thats was shocking,I begginging to think osoemthing should be done in the coaching staff, prefferably andy robinson being released,i can't see him taking england forward the ways hes going atm.

Short of AR-hole doing the decent thing himself I can't see him going.

If he sticks out the same three-quarters against the Micks next week he really does want shooting. We have better players available! Abbott to 12, Ollie Smith to 13, Van Gisbergen in @ 15 & Lewsey replacing Cohen on the wing.

Never gonna happen tho. :(

*Twists knife* I bet it's times like this England fans wish they had Sean Lamont and Marcus Di Rollo. :p :D

Might still have the Calcutta Cup if they did.

True, but I hear the RFU's budget for tempting League stars to the lesser code has been all spent up on Andy Farrell's hospital bills.

England XXII for Ireland

From the beeb's website:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/international/4805790.stm

T Voyce (Wasps); M Cueto (Sale), J Noon (Newcastle), S Abbott (Wasps), B Cohen (Northampton); A Goode (Leicester), H Ellis (Leicester); A Sheridan (Sale), L Mears (Bath), M Stevens (Bath); S Borthwick (Bath), S Shaw (Wasps); J Worsley (Wasps), L Moody (Leicester), M Corry (Leicester, capt).
Replacements: S Thompson (Northampton), J White (Leicester), D Grewcock (Bath), L Dallaglio (Wasps), M Dawson (Wasps), D Walder (Newcastle), M Tindall (Gloucester).

Top piece of locking the stable door from Robbo. It is nice to see Abbott finally given a go at 12, but Cohen is a very lucky boy to still be there. Dawson is a bit unlucky, he was our best back v yer Frogs for mine & Lewsey doubly so. He's clearly not in prime nick just now, but is still our best wing/full back. He's also far more versatile than Tinds who I'm supposing nominally covers 13, 14 & 15 from the bench.

Tins'll only be cover for centre; Walder can also play full back (if I remember correctly) & Voyce also plays wing so I'm sure they'll be a bit of shuffling around if replacements are made (depending on who comes off of course)

I really can't believe Cohen is still in the team :ranting: He's done absolutely nothing....Lewsey has a below par match & he's axed, yet Cohen's still there....is he paying Robinson or something? I see no reason why he deserves a place in that team...

I agree with Anna.

Glad to see Tindall out of there. Been hugely ineffective throughout the tournament.

Good to see Goode and Ellis both starting.

I'm not sure how this is going to turn out, so i'll leave the predictions ttill after the event.

So France pretty much have this in the bag, right? Unless England vs. Ireland is a thumping or Wales pull off an upset.

It seems strange that France could win the title, since they haven't really gone all out and England seemed more desperate to claim it.

It's been a very disappointing 6 Nations, both as an England fan & in terms of the quality of Rugby played. France will probably win, but they've been very average really. Only in the first half v Ireland did they really hit peak form. That's what made our performance in the Stade De France so horrible; we weren't carved apart by a French team throwing the ball around, we just imploded ourselves v a frankly mediocre team.

Weirdly enough our win in Rome is still the only away victory so far, so I wouldn't write Wales off totally, but they do have a huge task ahead of them. We should smash The Micks fairly comfortably; their front row is pretty crap so White & Sheridan should make hay. It's nice to have, in Abbott, a 12 with a smidge of creativity as well, Saffie or not.

Game of the day might be in Rome tho, Italy have improved this year under Berbizier & Scotland have been huge defensively. I take Scotland just, but it could be a minor classic.

England KO = 5:30.....I have nets from 6:00-7:30.....I'm thinking it's probably for the best cos I bet I'd end up running out screaming if I watched it anyway lol.
