How tall was Hadlee? Also, don't think Davo was that tall, or Fred Trueman.

Edit: Harris' CA profile lists him at 181 cm.

Which, some stats minded ****wit will now analyse to death as to whether this means he's "tall" or not, depending on some statistical mean.

Cricinfo has always had him at 5'10" (just checked, still does). 181cm=5'11". Either way, don't see how he doesn't fit in this thread?

And I was gonna be the stats-minded ****wit asking why OP was including blokes at least 2 inches above average height as "short", but I'm just playing along instead.

Listed height for Malcolm Marshall is 180cm/5'11" ftr. So he's kinda "tall short", yet always the first name that comes up here.

Never heard their height mentioned before, yet evidently Lillee was just under 6-foot, and in every single photo I can find he is taller than Jeff Thomson.

The quickest bowlers tend to be on the short side. Akhtar, Lee, Thommo, Lillee etc were hardly beanpoles.

However, Shane Warne is supposedly 6 foot and if you google image him and Lillee, Lillee is at least an inch taller. Hadlee appears to be slightly taller than Lillee but not really more than an inch.

Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke are both supposed to be 5'10" and Warne is taller than both, especially Ponting.

I reckon Hadlee is probably about 6'1" and Lillee 6 foot, Warne probably 5'10"-5'11" range, Clarke might be an honest 5'10" but I doubt Ponting is even 5'9".

Haha yup, Google is a total lottery when it comes to heights, I notice Ponting is listed at 1.78 m & Steve Waugh 1.68 m

ha, there are several references to Steve being 5'8" online and even one article which actually uses the 5'6" height and talks about how short he was! Wikipedia says 5'10".

Photo evidence however suggests Steve is taller than Clarke and about the same height as Warney. I don't see either twin being less than 5'10" tbh.

Without wishing to completely derail the thread... My best guess for those Australia players would be;

Mark Waugh 5'11 1/2
Shane Warne 5'10 1/2
Michael Clarke 5'10
Steve Waugh 5'9 1/2
Ricky Ponting 5'9

Which looks about right if you see Mark Waugh next to Punter here..

Seems about right. I'd probably just give each Waugh twin a little under an inch more than you. Gilly is apparently over 6'1" so I think Mark's looking a solid 6-footer there.

Yeah I saw Gilchrist was listed at 1.87 which is effectively 6'2 and I don't buy that for a second ...I reckon he's just over 6 foot at very the most ..and Damien Fleming pictured there (& actually relevant to thread) I'd guess would be 5'11
