Fair enough. Like I said I'm not defending the bloke as such as he clearly is a bit of a maroon, but it's got to the stage (IHMO) where Richard's attempts to get him to leave are becoming more disruptive than SW himself, which can't be right. If Richo had handled it like you did (through the proper channels) I'd have no problem at all; instead he's behaving like some demented cross between Charles Bronson, rainman & the editor of Wisden.

Missed this earlier as I avoided the thread, but I agree. BLE and his various other incarnations have been pretty annoying in the past, but in recent times I've been much more annoyed by Richard's ridiculous obsession with the guy than by his occasional pre-banning posts whenever he decides to show up. We don't need half a dozen threads about him, nor a series of pointless posts every time the guy says anything. Leave it alone and he'll either give up when he keeps getting banned or contribute in a more reasonable manner and stick around. Simple as that.

No, I'm not going to stop exposing him. It's not an obsession at all, and I'd expect better from Collins than to term it such. The guy's universally hated by all that have come into regular contact with him (I'd remind Fuller it wasn't so very long ago he was saying the same thing) - it's pretty poor of you guys to paint me as the one in the wrong.

The point isn't that SW is cherished, he's clearly (at best) an attention-seaker. Unfortunately what you don't seem to be able to grasp is that your continued (& frankly tiresome) exposing of him actually keeps him in the spotlight, which is clearly what he craves. It's self-defeating. If one's actions are likely to have the opposite of one's desired effect then, I'm sorry, but it's starting to look like an obsession.

If you think a new poster is him just quietly report him & he'll be dealt with, as evidenced by his banning after Princey reported him.
