I don’t want to go there though. There are 197 Sporcle IDed countries on earth and, whilst India is one I do want to visit (about 145th atm), Delhi is about 197th in the places I’d want to go within that country.

Burgey, food is all about the history and the culture. If you are just eating in a fine dine restaurant, you are missing the picture. And you don't know how brilliant Delhi street food is ffs if you eat at the right places.

Delhi is food heaven. This time when I went there, I got recommendations from a food writer friend of mine who loves the local street food. He recommended some great places to me and I had a blast. I am looking forward to going there next time and eating much more to my heart's delight.

I actually went to Delhi in 2009 and can confirm the street food was wonderful.
