Where were you going? It must have been Europe or America as Australia is only about 8 hours from Singers. Was in the air for the last 13 hours. I think we can all agree that airplane food is the ****ing worst. The woman next to me even put sugar in her beef to mask the awful taste.
Some effort by Montanna. It isn't dry, it is pushing towards too sweet. But its definitely well above average and passes. But I do love a good red or rose with lamb. Impeccable combination.Which Rose are you scoffing? I hope it's dry. I find it a good match with lamb in warmer months but not so much in winter, when I prefer a red. Each to one's own I suppose.
Paris. Got 2 hours or so to kill now before the next flight to Lisbon. Disappointed this thread didn't have another 100 pages to get through so I'll now have to find other means of entertainment.Where were you going? Queenstown is gorgeous. You're fortunate. Enjoy winterfest I love it down there, my only criticism is that there's too many Australians...Mr Miyagi bringing it hard here.
Agree re dry whites. Also prefer Chardonnay, especially over Sav Blanc, which is ****ing everywhere and just tastes the same regardless of vineyard.
Like a Cloudy Bay of the NZ chardonnays, though am heading to Queenstown for a weekend in July and will hopefully sample many more.
Have you tucked into a Scarborough chardonnay from the Hunter? If not, can recommend.
If you're stuck on the plane - look for Cobra Kai - the Karate Kid sitcom spin off. Watch all 10 episodes, they just get better and better and funnier and funnier.Paris. Also don't call it Singers man pls. Although it is much better than adding the second favourite Aussie suffix to make it 'Singo'

I think if you want to avoid the most of a hangover, get drunk on vodka. Never get a headache from it.

It has to be said, the price of any decent imported wine throughout Asia is bloody ridiculous. The only alcohol which I found prohibitively expensive there. Probably explains why ***** lacks the sophistication to appropriately match liquor with food.
What about when you make the chronic mistake of starting on red, running out and reverting to white? Holy ****, that's the worst.Every wine drinker who has drunk red wine after a period of drinking white, or drinking bourbon after a period of drinking vodka knows the feeling - either the drinking euphoria or the morning after. But there's actually a science to support it.
You're talking to someone who is well aware of not to mix the grain with the grape, but nevertheless will crack open a scotch when the wine runs out. What about when you make the chronic mistake of starting on red, running out and reverting to white? Holy ****, that's the worst.
Red into white spoils the night.
