Semi Serious Ideas to Re-Invigorate Test Cricket

Fully white clothing (or creams)

No advertising on clothes or the playing field

No music played between overs, minimal ground announcements. No PA advertising
No instruments, flags or banners in the crowd; no shouting or cheering, just polite applause once the ball is dead; everyone in the stands must wear tie and blazer (and yes, only men allowed, mustaches mandatory); no alcohol in the ground (except Claret at lunchtime in the members dining room); breathalyser tests on entry; only the Times newspaper permitted as reading material (in all countries).

Anything more than a couple of brief handshakes is considered over-celebrating and punishable with a two year stretch in a 8' by 6' cell at Pentonville gaol.

Why would any decent overseas players want to play in the First Class competition of a "smaller team" though? Only reason it works in County Cricket is there is decent money involved. Can't imagine Zimbabwe domestic cricket being able to entice many genuinely good overseas players
Actually it's the opposite.
