This strikes me as coming from the same place as criticism of Kane's innings last night was...
Kane didn't waste anywhere near the amount of deliveries, on a deck that wasn't as good as this with a middle/lower order that isn't as good as India's.

Rahane did have Nohit and then Kohli firing from the other end; and MSD aside none of the lower/middle order have clicked.

MSD WAG. Bumrah instead of Ashwin. Wicket first ball. Bumrah WAG. w00t w00t

Rahane had an excellent innings. Scored at better than a run a ball and his selfless running let Kohli score so many twos with Rahane taking on the fielder every time.
True.

Some people forget the obvious. It takes 2 people to run. Rahane played his part in a good partnership - anyone that criticises that innings is probably more of a baseball fan.

India will win this by 30/40 runs. Kohli in God mode is basically unstoppable, hope England can get one through him early.

Who cares? Irrelevant nonsense that David lloyd keeps trying to peddle
It is not irrelevant nonsense.. If you don't have a line up like England's where everybody can afford to go all out, a batsman who can consistently turn the strike over to the better hitters is supremely valuable.
