In the days leading up to the first round of matches in the WCC, Queensland manager Gaurav Nayak was accosted by the press, who proceeded in shoving a mike under his nose, and rapid-firing questions at him, such as 'Do you think your team has enough strength to take down OD heavyweights such as Colts, TN', 'Maybe too much emphasis as been placed on the OD team, thus weakening the FC team' as well as 'Would you like to hazard a guess as to Lancashire manager, Dave Richard's ***ual Orientation'

Thus bombarded, Nayak replied calmly to each of the questions one by one,

On the issue of his team being strong enough:
'I think my team can definitely pose a challenge to the TN and Colt OD teams. While they have they're batsman averaging above 60, we think we have one of the best bowling attacks across the whole of Division 1. And hopefully that advantage will come to the fore, during our matches with them.'

Too much emphasis on the OD team:
'When I took charge of Queensland, I could clearly see that our FC team wasn't going anywhere, for that reason I decided to atleast try and get the honours in one division while trying for FC next season.'

Dave Richard's ***ual Orientation:
'What other managers choose to read and view is none of my business. If Richard's is comfortable with himself, OK. Whatever floats his boat.

Then the Queensland manager was seen hurrying in the direction of the Tube, saying he was late for an apppointment.

You do realise the OD title is not a three horse race, Victoria have been one of the strongest OD sides for the last couple years and have probably the strongest bowling attack going around. South Australia are the defending championships and im sure they wont be giving up their title without a fight. Then you have Lancashire who have drafted very well in ODs and have a some of the best OD players in WCC.

Bowling attacks are interesting. I think I probably have the strongest attack across the two forms but I'd be interested to see what other team's OD bowling attacks are like. Bit of a shame I lost Sammels becuase mine would have been very strong. ATM it's 13, 14, 17, 21 and then the AR at 27 (pray to god I don't need him).

In terms of averages it looks like you guys have to nod, interms of s/r i think QLD have the best. In terms of experience, s/r, and averages Victoria are probably number one and where probably number two. But i really haven't looked that closey at it, so its just basically what i have noticed and been told. I guess we will all have a better idea once the games start.
