If this is purely on value as a cricketer I would go:

Sachin

Gavaskar
Kapil

Virat
Ashwin
Dravid

Kumble
Bumrah
Dhoni

Ganguly
Jadeja
Mankad
Rohit
Chandra
Laxman
Hazare

Bedi
Shami
Prasanna
Pujara
I voted Jadeja but come now how can you say the great Virender Sehwag is not in top 20 most valuable cricketers for India. Feels like he has lost value after playing ..

He inspired an entire generation in Asia to murder the bowling , he was way ahead of the curve , he was playing Bazball 20 years ago ..
Teams used to think twice about a declaration because of his presence , Sehwag & Tendulkar is Top 10 most iconic opening partnerships in odi cricket , then in Test cricket a SR of 82 opening the batting ..

He is easily in that Ganguly grouping of valuable cricketers , 23 Test hundreds is more than Rohit and Hazare combined , World Cup Winner, Two Triples , an ODI double ..plus his attacking style 👌..Certified Master Blaster

I thought I had mentioned him in the list earlier. Missed him, my mistake. He's obviously in the top 20. Thanks for pointing it out. I have infact voted for Sehwag over Jadeja 😂

I just looked and apparently I also forgot to rank Sehwag.....

Is it blasphemy to suggest that Sehwag in an an alternate reality could've been as good a spinner as Jadeja? He was a real natural with the ball, just never was asked to put in the long hours like Jadeja was forced to.

I think Jadeja's bowling alone is enough to match Sehwag's batting, I say Sehwag is a little better there but it's competitive but then you then add in Jadeja's fielding and batting and it's pretty onesided.

Yes, because being a Test level bowler requires more than just the ability to bowl extraordinary/exceptional balls. You need consistency, endurance and accuracy, and even the biggest Jadeja haters wouldn't deny he has that in spades compared to Sehwag and other part-timers.

Totally underestimating Sehwag. The greatest of all time in Asian conditions. Batting is in a different universe to Jadeja’s bowling

I thought it was a pity vote.
It was very close for me either way, could have easily gone Jadeja. Sehwag was just more of a unicorn, especially for India since we haven't had an ATG test opener bar Gavaskar. Sehwag was a destroyer, even in tests. Jadeja is a great bowler on turning wickets, but was the second guy behind Ashwin. Hypothetically, if we were to replace Jadeja by say someone like Axar, it would probably have a less effect than replacing someone like Sehwag would. Sehwag's batting>Jadeja's bowling for me and while Jadeja is a handy bat, it covers say 90% of the gap for me. But say, he has a great BGT, I would switch.
