WCC Auckland officially welcomes old man Dwayne Leverock to the camp. At 34 years of age, and considerable poundage, Leverock's experience should be vital to the Auckland bowling attack.

A bowling average of 14.50 in 4D cricket is stunning on its own, but the consideration of his 19.13 average in OD cricket just adds to his appeal.

I think some of these players from the smaller countries might really make a name for themselves this season by the look of their stats. I wouldn't mind having Dwayne 'The Black Merv' Leverock in my side but Prassana Chawla should do.

Welcome to Lancashire for teh young spinner K Diwan, he's not very experienced but spin is an area we aren't strong in, and he's made an excellent start to his career, averaging 15 in FC and 16.6 in OD with and ER of 3.86, his batting may come in handy aswell averaging 32 in OD cricket - obviously its a bit of a gamble given his inexperience but Lancashire perhaps need to gamble this season as they may face a relegation struggle.

Barbados welcomes AB DeVilliers, and currently a team official is taking him for a look at the local nightcl...sights and sounds.
He'll be spending a lot of time in nightclubs if his form of last season continues.

But VC4 doesn't significantly take experience into the equation.

ud be surprised, look at D Richards from Kent last year, he had 1 game batting av of 53, yet his average in the sim was around 37...

btw, is A Wascoroni taken?, because in the excel spreadsheet it says hes still there, but in the draft in the wcc site, it says he went to queensland

oh, and can anyone tell me, can a medium pacer bowl with the new ball?

Isn't that because VC4 adjusts the average when very few games have been played? If 6 or 7 games are in the player's record already, he'd have to do significantly worse than a player with 1 game's experience if his average is to fall drastically.

ur right in saying that very few games 1 or 2 get punished stats wise more than a guy with under 10, but players stats get lowered up until theyve played around 40 or 50 ive noticed...

It's not supposed to do that though. Can't remember where I read it, but isn't in-game data correction only supposed to take effect for 10-12 games? It's supposed to be for new players, and 40-50 matches is hardly a new player.

its not significant after about 20 games, someone averaging 51 with 35 games has a simming average of about 47-48
