Kent Fans Stunned
Today Kent's manager Rich2001 announced to the public that Fast Bowling duo M.Saggers (32) and J.Dawes (34) have decided to quit the game and follow other intrests.
Rich2001 is apprantly amazed at the outcome of the retirments and was braced for a gult of outgoing superstars with the likes of Blewy, VVS Laxman, A Muzumdar and D Brown all rumored to be leaving the club due to their old age, but all decied that they would like to play on and try and take the First Class Crown back to Kent "When" Kent are confirmed of promotion
But the news that the lone Kent player left from the very begining is quite stagering and there was no real reason behind the move by Saggers to call it a day, he hasn't picked up a injury in over 2 seasons and his been a constant starter in both forms... rumors are the fact that the national side keep injoring the star has made him pack up the game thinking whats the point in continuing
J.Dawes to be honested wasn't on the list as expected to go but his departure along with Saggers will leave a huge whole in the attack and Kent will now be forced into the market looking for bowlers.
On a slighty positive note Kent have promoted two of their youth players to fill the squad places for the meantime, A Lovell a useful looking batsman (Helps alot thanks Blewy
) has been called upon but will not be retained like the vast majority of the Kent rookies in the past.
However finally a expection to the rule has occured and L Dyer has been spotted in the system and offered a full time contract to the end of the season, L Dyer is by no means a like-for-like replacement for either of the outgoing, his OD bowling is alot worse however the FD bowling is a strong improvment on both players and will more than likely be kept on with Rich2001 having to look towards the younger generation as otherwise a full re-build might be needed next year
