In a joint decision by the Board and our team manager Rich2001, it has been decided that both our young rookies (Q Aylott and I Grant) will be attending the World Club Cricket Academy where we feel it will be more of a benifit with regular matches and in both forms, rather than just the One Day of the VB Cup.

Kent CCC would like to wish both of our players the very best of luck and hopfully they will impress enough to gain a full contract for next season (but we doubt it :rolleyes: )

OK, Warwickshire have one question before sending our rookies into the academy. If for instance Tyrone Rowell smashed the opposition all over the place, making lots of runs etc. would his batting increase or stay the same?

As with all players in the Academy whatever they do in that series will count towards their career stats...

South Australia have announced that both Nathan Adam and Lance Bradley will be heading off to the Academy Series...

In a decision that has shocked many SA manager Brendon Goff has stated that his side despite wanting to win the VB Cup feels that his side would be better suited for the 2 star rookies to head off to the Academy Series and intimidate their rivals....
Goff feels the experience of constant cricket will help them develop more and more before next season....

Rookies games are random.. It could be anything from 1-40 but thats all kept secret... Hence the reason nobody will be getting the vc4 line of their players...

By the way GB - for friendlies, I presume that both teams will need to agree, and it will only be 1 match playable per game-week?

Friendly games will only be available during VB Cup Rounds, So if you make it to the final of the VB Cup then you cannot play friendlies...

Once elimnated from the VB Cup you may play 1 OD and 1 4D friendly per VB Cup round....
