Other Interesting Statistics
- Gregory still has the 3rd fastest Test 100 in terms of balls faced
- Woolley's first class bowling average was 19.87
- Taking out Gregory's post 1925 performances where he was hit by injuries, he averages 39.88 with the bat and 27.94 with the ball from 18 Tests
Strengths of Team
- Fielding - Gregory is among the greatest slip fielders ever, Lloyd was brillant in both the covers and slips and Woolley was one of if not the greatest fielder of his era
- Good crisis Batting - Hussey is usually at his best in bad situations, Flower was used to batting in situations where his batting support was minimal, Lloyd was one of the experts in getting the most productive partnerships out of tailenders and Gregory's batting style is similar to Gilchrist's 80 years after him, Pollock is also an exceedingly good 8 (averaging over 30)
- Openning Pair - Morris was considered by no less than Bradman to be the finest left handed opener up to 2000 and picked him in his All Time World and All Time Australia XI's and Haynes although capable of the spectacular was mainly a brillant solid anchor to the attacking opener at the other end (usually Greenidge)
- Twelth Man - Mushtaq Mohammad is a good enough All Rounder to be an adequate replacement for anyone in the XI with the exception of Andy Flower
- Capatincy - Lloyd was one of the great captains and should get the very most out of my pace attack
- Bowling Options - This attack has 6 frontline bowling options and with Woolley's ability to bowl both medium pace and spin gives Lloyd 4 seam options and 3 spin options to use.
- Left Hand Batsman - Many bowlers including many great players struggle against LHB, having 6 left handers in the top 7 will take full advantage of this weakness
