The fact is "Pakki" isn't used by the racists to refer to Pakistanis - it's simply used to refer to brown-skinned people as if they were inferior because of the colour of their skin.
A ludicrous idea, but one entertained, nonetheless, by a shocking amount of the British community especially.
For the reason that Britain is a large part of the cricketing community, and British Asians especially, it is totally understandible to me that "Pakki" is a frowned-upon term.
You really have to live in The UK to understand fully, but just take it from us - there are many who would take offence at the term.

Hmmm....

I can't seem to find "Golly Gosh", "Ahhh Nuts" or "Oh Bother" in this list anywhere.

Not very comprehensive is it Neil? But I did find it interesting that "B***ocks" was included, yet along ranked 8th. I mean really.... who, born this side of 1937, says b***ocks anymore??

Really that should be extended to Allah or any other god, too.
We don't want bias towards certain religions (ie Christianity).

It's not that uncommon in the UK...

Pakistan has not ruled out bringing back old guns such as Waqar Younis, Rashid Latif, Shahid Afridi and yes, Saqlain Mushtaq for the series vs India. They are all in contention for places vs India. Looks like you can never rule out any one ever to make a come bak in Pakistan cricket.

Ahhh, so that's why that drunk Brit at the cricket was calling me and my friends a "****" whilst I was wearing my Indian cricket shirt. I've noticed a lot of Brits use it, I just thought they were ignorant and believed Pakistanis and Indians were one and the same. Weird.

Regarding Saqlain, I remember it wasn't too long ago when he was destroying the Australian batting line up on Australian soil. I was young at the time (so was he ironically) but I haven't seen him play in a long time so I am unaware of his current form.

Afridi and Saqlain, old?
Rashid surely won't get back with Moin in his current form.
I'd be surprised, too, to see Waqar get back in and if he does I hope he's bowling better than he has been recently.

Old as in playes who have played in the past. And I dobt believe Afridi is 21-22 either though.

I would like to see only Saqlain back in the team from the past players. Waqar is officially just '31' it must be noted.

No way would I pick Afridi ATM unless there's serious evidence of improvement. His batting was simply brainless in recent ODIs.
Saqlain should certainly be playing the ODIs and probably the Tests, too. Waqar, however old he is, will only be playing for long if he improves, too.

Wasn't Saqlain the fastest bowler to 200 ODI wickets or something?? It astounds me that he's not in the team. What did he do wrong??

Also on bad language, I can't believe that the word w**ker is considered the 4th most offensive in England (it was an English survey was it not?) I mean, that word is incredibly harmless, and it only implies that someone indulges in something that 97% of the population do on a daily basis! You're a funny lot up there, I must say.

Apparently he had a row with Javed Miandad after the Multan Test against Bangladesh. Saqlain said recently that he would like to take 500 wickets in both Tests and ODI's... he has some way to go, considering he currently has 207 Test wickets and 288 ODI wickets.

And yes, he was fastest to 200 ODI wickets (fastest to 250 as well).

The row had nothing to do with Saqlain saying he wanted 500 wickets. I merely added that to show that Saqlain himself thinks that his playing days are far from over. So please, enough with the

Was rolling my eyes at what I though Javed had said.
