I always suspected PEWS was biased against Indian players. I think we all did.

In Sangakkara’s case, his keeping is also a factor in rating him as an overall player.

I rated Sanga. But its laughable to say its not at least a dsicussion when you are dealing with a bowler with Ashwin's track record.

But keeping is still not as valuable of a skill vs batting or bowling. And in Sanga's case, he doesn't rise dramatically or is superior in this comp because of it, as well as the fact that he didn't keep all the time.

I don't see how Sanga is better though? There's quite a few caveats with his records that are similar to Ashwin's, even putting aside batting vs bowling evaluations.

Well Sanga only averages 47 outside Asia. That’s 7 whole average worse!

Ashwin is a Great bowler, however not a top rung all rounder.

The top 3 batsmen keeper thing depends on how strict one is on the definition of keeper. Does ABD count for example, whose record is by far the best as a batter who also kept wickets? Sanga's average fell massively while keeping, hence I wouldn't have him keeping if I wanted him at his best.

That means if he has not kept he would have massively averaged more than 57. That makes argument for Ashwin more difficult.

Sanga and Flower are better batsmen who kept than Gilchrist.
