65 runs in the last 5 overs help JSK to 168/3.

Let's see how Roy and Buttler go about chasing it.

Meanwhile, 34-3 after 2.4 overs is a ridiculous score. A shame Salt couldn't engage his brain a bit more.

The ruling from the SA board is that if you're signed up to play this, you don't get to tour NZ.
It was the agreement CSA made with the franchise owners... All the SA players with a contract for the SA20 must be available for the competition

The **** up happened because when NZ put the tour together and CSA had a chance to adjust it, it was left too late. And when they asked NZ, NZ said no because of other commitments.

I guess they probably scheduled the NZ tour before they came to this agreement. Still, a strange call to make since it's in their benefit to prioritize an international tour.

I think the international calendar was out... But they could still have discussed and organised with NZ earlier.

Unfortunately the reality is that the short term profit from the SA20 is desperately needed due to the CSA mismanaged of it's finances over the last 10 years. However the obvious long term repercussions on SA cricket de-prioritizing Test cricket is probably going to be far worse

That's incredible. 120 in the second half. That's some 30 runs more than what DSG would've been aiming for at the halfway stage. De Kock was a sight to behold once he got going and Klaseen is just unfair in these situations.
