SA t20 tournament

Nothing better than a team from Cape Town doing badly.
Something just seems off with them. The batting line up has at times been a head scratcher with Potgieter at 8 or 9 for a few games, Curran at 3, Linde playing as a top 5 batsman, Brevis being pushed down the order(probably to shield him from the quicks) and Rassie and Roelofsen being the same type of T20 batter both opening. Weird calls.

Almost none of the MICT top names performed. Rashid and Curran were poor

For me it was more about the top order. They didn't score enough and what they did was generally at a poor strike rate. It took about one match for Brevis to be found out.

Not sure Rashid is an ideal skipper either.

Really a strange decision last night from theunis to bowl Ingram a second over. Royals lucky to be in the semi's.

Hopefully capitals can get the job done at wanderers tonight.

Weather is a bit crappy in Gauteng today, let's hope it clears later and the rest of the week.

Would be a surprise if the result was any different to yesterday, but you never know with T20, especially with the likes of Buttler around. But PC have looked the best side throughout this comp, they've dealt with the loss of Jacks smoothly and in Nortje have by far and away the best fast bowler.

Picking players like Jacks and Salt with something to prove has worked out a lot better than selecting those already with various luxurious contracts tucked in the back pocket.

Weather for the second semi looks very dodgy. Rained this morning and afternoon forecast isn't great.
Tomorrow looks even worse.

Is the speed gun accurate? Othniel Baartman bowling in the 140's , if so this is good news for the fast bowling depth ..he's usually fast medium been doing well in red ball cricket

How many catches have there been so far?

My favourites Pretoria Capitals playing today.
Second favourites Sunrisers Eastern Cape won a great game yesterday to get off the bottom.
Well both favourites made it to the final.
Fantastic to watch top quality cricket at great grounds. SA 20, the best competition, that's including IPL, BB and The Blast etc.

If you listen to somebody like Tom Eaton it is a tragedy because people going to SA grounds aren't cricket fanatics like us, who read Wisden and can quote Bradman's average to seven decimal places. Rather go back to how SA cricket was where nobody watched domestic stuff or cared.

A similar thing is happening with The Hundred. I know a number of people with very little previous interest in cricket who have enjoyed going to games. I haven't been to a single one and don't intend to. However, what I won't knock is how it is bringing new people to cricket and that can only be a good thing.
