South Africa fans go from booing them at half time to cheering them at full time.
That's the difference between the first and second half... and how badly SA played in the first half. Just glad we got away with it...

Not a sport per Australian law believe it or not (done so betting in play online on horse racing I permitted no doubt)

Cant say I'm terribly upset by the loss. The english success rate vs importance of match in relation to a world cup scale continues to ring true. I.e when importance of results is 5, english success is 1, when importance of results is 1, english success is 5 etc.

Still, fair dos for the qin. Missed the match but from reports from my mates back in Aus we were wholloped.

I don't agree with how England won that, just kept on kicking it away, they relied on themselves to keep out australia in the red zone which, although they pulled it off, is not a good strategy. England should have kept on trying to score tries.
I didn't watch the match but this isn't always correct.

Biggest example in my memory is 2011 WC final, where we just refused to kick deep which is what kept the French in the game as they had no attacking threat but just tackled like demons.

Final random comments:

1) I can't recall Nowell doing anything Yarde would not have done.
2) Yes England clearly the 2nd best team in the world. I think that Farrell is your better number 10 by some considerable distance but I understand why you go for the Ford-Farrell combo at 10-12 (because you don't have any other feasible option). When and if Manu comes back I beleive you will be able to beat the ABs in home conditions if you put him at 12 and Joseph at 13.*
3) The reason why this England team is better than what we saw in the world cup is essentially Burgess was shite. Hindsight is 20/20 but with the benefit of hindsight it was an irresponsible decision to select such an inexperienced player. SBW was inexperienced in 2011 but he played off the bench.

Actually what has happened to my boy Eastmond? I would go Farrell at 10 and Eastmond at 12. Eastmond is a fabulous defender - it is ok if one of your centres is just there to defend, Joseph can do your attacking.
