Apparently there is a league team in Somerset (Vikings?) who are doing well and might get promoted to some competition or other?
I'd rather you kept that stuff a long way north of Cheltenham...
Don't worry. They aren't very good. Lost to Gloucestershire Warriors in the Rugby League Conference South-West and Midlands Grand Final this year.

On another note hahaha.

Oh, the irony.

"We're confident the site will develop into a major new source of income," said chief executive Sean McGuire.

Pretty sure Gleeson & Long woulda said the same thing about their bets...

Think we'd be whitewashed whoever we took in all honesty. Briers unlucky IMHO; more or less knocked Leeds out singlehanded & has been quality all year.

That's true, but to not take your best players when you're up against it anyway is a complete joke.

And, with all due respect to Briers (Rainford lad
), both McGuire and Horne >>>> him.

Can only think they've gone for the extra pace. Gardner's biggest prob for me.
The fact that he can't hold on to the ball?

Edit. Hang on. Are you suggesting he's slow? Have you ever seen this guy play?

He's quick, but not in (say) Albert's league. I saw him not able to catch Senior earlier this year, that doesn't scream lightening pace to me.

quick return eh?

sound beatings for us i reckon. Hoping i might catch some of the WC next year before i leave OZ, any idea what the dates are for it Sean?
Copied and pasted from bbc. Just added positions. Blame them.

And the WC is October/November 08, not next year.

Fastest player in the Saints team by a country mile. To compare him to Albert is pretty futile as there were few who could match him when he was in Super League

World Cup's gonna be awful again as I think we're competing as Eng/Sco/Wal/Ire instead of GB. We're hardly competitive as GB as it is.

It'll actually be England and 2 of Sco/Wal/Ire...unless Lebanon, Georgia or Russia cause a shock.

Although there is one Repechage (whatever the fook that means) spot.

French for play-off. Ripped off union, they've had repechages since 1999.

see the volcano is having his annual tri nations knee operation.

Interesting that there aren't many SL players there, though don't they usually name more after the season finishes? Perhaps Hape and Cayless.

How far away are the likes of Paleasina and Solomona?

Yeah. Players aren't named in training squads when their clubs are left in their respective competitions. Hape and Cayless will be there. Maybe Rauhihi and Motu Tony.

Rauhihi > Palaaesina for mine, and both are probably just thereabouts on the fringes. Solomona has a reputation built on bullying the weaker teams in Super League. Don't rate him. I expect/hope his not being here is him becoming a scapegoat from when we thrashed New Zealand's D team in July and we won't be seeing him soon.
