Does have a slightly better strike rate but did play three times as many games, in an inferior competition. But hes ineligible for this anyway as he only played in England after 1945.

Fair enough, but Bevan's (might as well name him as I can't pick him) consistency was remarkable. To keep such a strike rate up for so long defies belief.

Plus our comp was probably a lot closer in quality back when he played. GB used to occasionly win series then.
