Round 6 - Reports

Rich2001

International Captain
Has anyone seen the Kent manager recently, he was last seen chasing the whole of Kent team with a gun after their encounter with SA.
Can I borrow the gun to cull a few of my donkeys?
Feel free, i'll drop it of when we play each other this week

Blewy

Cricketer Of The Year
Well with a big lead up to what was to be a very big game...
The rivallry between Kent and South Australia had been imenent since the signing of manager Goff to the SA side...
This was to be the 1st match up between the 2 and what a cracker of a game it proved to be...
South Australia batted 1st and despite losing Fitzgerald for 6, Miller and Blewett steadied the ship with a good partnership, until Miller fell for a very entertaining 49 for 48...
Lehmann joined Blewett and the excitement just got better as Lehmann belted the attack to all parts on his way to a RECORD 154*, he was well supported by Blewett who played second fiddle with a solid 56...South Australia finishing their 50 overs @ 5 for 334...
In reply the Kent side had a tough task, but with Lara in the side anything was possible, but the acendancy suddenly turned to SA as the 2 openers fell leaving Kent struggling @ 2/49...
Lara and Hockley then put on a bit of a show both posting half centuries before Haritty bagged both in quick succession leaving Kent in a dangerous spot @ 4/115...
From there the pressure seemed to much for the visitors as the SA attack applied the blow torch and the middle and lower order could not stand up...
Ealham and Nixon tried hard but to no avail as Kent were eventually dismissed for 248 in the 38th over...
Mark Harrity the star for the Redbacks with his 3rd 4 wicket haul for the season...
South Australia winning by 86 runs...
Darren Lehmann taking out the MOM honours...

Manager Goff was ecstatic with his teams performance, and after the game could not hold back his excitement...
When asked on his thoughts all he could say was "Lehmann, Lehmann"..
Asked on his thoughts for the Marc Cup Goff also stated that the Cup would be used to give all his players a go, stating that some were virtually nevilles and he wanted to see if they were worth anything....
Goff would also like to thank the Kent manager Rich for the celebratory drink.....
:D :D :D :D :D
