thank you blewy, if people read things before rushing to point out my faults the world would be a better place, apparently a third player (K Khan) has been left in the draft too, so the people that have him on their list wont get him...

he was 9th, u picked all pretty good batsman that there taken before u as ur top 8 picks. This is why we get people to select as many players as there pick, so avoid disapointment of getting a rubbish player, just selecting players to make the numbers is kinda of against the whole point of it...

Karachi happy with M. Dhoni to back up P. Dharmini with the gloves. They will now share the duties in 1day and 4day respectivly. Altough Karchi were happy with Dhoni they were more keen to get there hands on two of the players that went before Karchi. With round 2 approching Karachi now will be looking to strengthen there batting and bowling line up.

Lancashire are pleased to have acquired the services of 23 year old batsman S.Munir (FD-43 OD-42). With OD bowling stats of sr 27 er 1.77, he will be an extremely valuable asset to the OD team in particular!

Lahore are pleased to announce that D. Thornley will be joining the squad for their inaugeral season. Problems could arsie due to Thornley's salary demands, with Lahore at the moment only offering 100 Coke bottle tops a week and Thornley wanting at least 250. More on this as it develops...

if its 0 overs per match it wont work graham, i did some tests with vc4 picking 4 bowlers with 10 overs per match and then the rest with none, some with bowling stats like munir, and the game wouldnt let me continue without selecting a 5th bowler...

In that case, there shoudn't be any bowling stats assigned at all as it's misleading.
I respectfully request that S.Munir should be replaced by J.Cooke (my next pick).

oh i dunno about that, ill have a chat with the rest of the board, i would have thought seeing a stat of 0 overs per match would straight away lead one to think that he doesnt bowl, rather than going on the assumption that you can manipulate the simulator...

I've seen bowlers that previously had overs per match assigned have them disappear through not bowling for a season, so assumed the reverse would apply.
Also based on the fact that in FC matches, bowlers with no bowling stats bowl (eg, A.Anderton in my case)
Whatever the board's decision I think that any meaningless stats shouldn't be assigned as all it can do is mislead.

Actually Simon - there's little difference between S.Munir and J.Cooke, so I'll just keep Munir and send you an altered list for Round 2.
I think it'll cause problems with some people both now and in the future if we set a precedent, so I'll just keep S.Munir and maintain the integrity of the draft process.

Not if he's got no overs.

I had Graham Wagg with 1 over in OD - he never bowled a thing even if I made him an opening bowler and only picked 4 bowlers.

Why should that be?

If they don't bowl overs then their average drops, and lets face it if someone doesn't bowl for a year - then they're going to lose a lot of their ability (owing to lack of practice)

Sorry! I read this thread before the other one, and was just pointing it out trying to be helpful. I was going to delete my post but had to go to work. I didn't mean anything by it - as in Simon or yourself doing a bad job, I think you guys do a tremendous job & I don't take it for granted, I was just trying to point out something that may cause some problems, once again I apologise.

I noticed that and my 2nd round list is much better organised i think.
