I think next game we will see:
Warner
Rogers
Clarke
Voges
Watson
MMarsh
Nevill
Starc
Harris
Hazlewood
Lyon
Yeah this is what I'd go for, though I'd like to see both Nev and Rad play. Is it a genuine FC tour match, or could they play 12?

Australia XI to face Essex: David Warner, Chris Rogers, Michael Clarke (capt), Adam Voges, Shane Watson, Mitchell Marsh, Peter Nevill (wk), Ryan Harris, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood, Nathan Lyon.
From the BBC. Voges, Nevill and Starc in.

Him bowling bumpers at Watto instead of just whacking him on the front pad would be a good win for Australia.

Hopefully Jimmy and Broad also take note and completely forget about fullish with a little movement away outside off. Awww no.

Seriously stretching the definition of "famous" there...

I'd honestly be surprised if Watson even remembered this, it sounds entirely nondescript.

Agreed. Been to a few of those sort of net sessions and the batters spraying the trundlers is completely normal.

Interesting that Shaun Marsh isn't playing in the Essex game.
I think the message is 'good work Sos, stay sharp if we need a fill in in the top 5'.

Fair enough too. Rogers has done enough to deserve to play his last five tests, and barring an abysmal game against Essex Voges' form demands a spot.

When do we start being worried about Rad?

In hindsight, Nev really should have played in the West Indies. I think we're somewhat hamstrung insofar as our reserve 'keeper has zero Test match experience and Haddin has appeared to be slipping for quite some time now. Not sure Boof's going to want to push Haddin out mid-series for a guy with no experience unless he's Akmal-bad.

Hopefully our top order isn't going to need saving every first innings like the last Ashes and Rad's batting won't be so heavily required. He's been pretty hopeless since that series so if we end up 5/sfa a few times and he doesn't deliver he could come under some pressure, but his glovework is still solid so I think he's a lock for the series. Bangladesh might be a different story though.
