Uncertain if the Footitt selection for the England camp has been mentioned, but FMD, they're acting as if he's bowling 155km/h thunderbolts.

Wood bowls quicker than he does. Footitt's a pretty handy bowler (might have a few running on the pitch issues though), but he's sharp -- not express.

In fairness Rhino spent all winter bowling on graveyards at home and missed out a chance to pad his average against the Windies.

I saw we had called him up and laughed, almost broke a rib after reading the dross written about him.

Yes he has a good recent record but it is in division 2 against some very average sides. World of difference between that and an ordinary test side nevermind a good one.

The most depressing thing about the Clarke stats is I assume it is due to him failing in the UAE against Yasir and Babar who had played **** all tests between them?

However when he is smacking Root and Ali around, the sky boys will tell us how amazing he is against spin.

Clarke looked much better in the Carribean with his back and his fitness and movement. I'm hopeful he can get back to his best.

Ah I rate him hugely, its just a pet peeve of mine about how the sky lads and Warne always bang on about how he is so amazing against spin, when he clearly isn't. Just ask Jadeja and Swann. :D

Swann called him the hardest batsman he ever had to bowl to, except for Rahul Dravid...

Although Swann really should stop talking.

He is probably the best current Australian bat for playing spin. Smith a close 2nd. That doesn't mean he's the best in the world though. I can't vouch for what Warne might dribble.

Tbh how many tests has Clarke played in the last 12 months? 3 right? He flopped in the two tests played in the Caribbean and then scored a century with a failing back. I'm pretty sure he's gonna go big (as in 150-ish) at least once, for all I've seen after the surgery he looks much better both while batting and fielding.

Eh I wouldn't really worry about clarke yet. He's had a really stop start year. I'll start worrying when he does not produce any good innings during a more extended run.
