His keeping is unrecognizable from an year ago too. We rarely even have to discuss it these days, which is a good thing as far as keepers are concerned. It's the more significant development for India's long-term prospects.

Still think he's a bit off that. Dhoni a bit underrated in Tests because of how good he was in ODIs. Pant definitely been better away from India though

Pant has no idea how to bat in LO cricket and should be kept out of it as much as possible. Unfortunately, for our pea brained selectors, it just means him playing every bloody game that India play.

Saw this stats now. I mean does Indian Team expect Pant to stop a collapse and then score fast runs also . This is complete madness . Give him a stable top order or bat him at 6 . Most of the times he is coming to bat inside 15 overs and expected to arrest the collapse and then score fast runs also .

Read a stat where pant averages something like 60 coming in after the 30th over vs ~30 coming in before that. Can't remember if that was just in Aus or overall, but it's clear he's far more valuable starting against the older ball.
