Bolo.

International Captain
Splitting Rabada and Cummins is less surprising than splitting Steyn and Mcgrath.
I don't think anyone really splits Steyn and Mcgrath into 2 different categories though? Cream of the crop to basically everyone, even people who think there is an appreciable quality gap.

I only have him as an ATG already because he's done brilliantly on some flat home decks too ( though recent Australia pitches have gotten much more helpful).
Yeah the early part of Cummins' career saw him have to deal with some really horrid home roads. The opposite was true for Rabada.

I think I factor this in more or even just straight up believe it to be more true than most people, but it means I rate Cummins higher and Smith lower than pretty much everyone on the forum. I even still considered Kohli to be better than Smith until his recent fall off a cliff.

In August 2019 when I last updated my standardised averages, his scorebook average was 21.6 but his standardised average was only 16.76.

That was comfortably the lowest standardised average of all time for someone with 100+ wickets. Second best was Asif (18.67). Rabada's was 22.08.

At least there's consistency I guess. Otherwise it's the Murali/Sanga conundrum where one played on flat decks and the other on turners.
Pitches can theoretically be good for spin bowling and still good for batting if they're just awful for fast bowling tbf, but yeah.

Whatever it takes!!!
Its almost as if bowlers and batsmen of the home country will figure out a way to be successful in the conditions they most often encounter. Such a gamechanger, this concept.

Batting decks in England can still be pretty kind to swing bowlers
This isn't a thing because swing is not influenced by the deck. It's more like swing is still an option to get lateral movement when seam is useless. In Australia, the soil compositions are different enough that the level of bounce is still abnormally more compared to other countries.
