No, I;m saying that you not 'rating' bowlers who bowl at 80mph purely because they don't bowl 'fast enough' is ludicrous. I mean if you say your 'favorite' players are those who bowl fast, well thats fine, but you can't then make that quantum leap and say they are 'better'.

And Lillee would have done what Lee has done, bowled fast and maybe gotten a wicket or two. I mean my favorite batsman could be those who bat fastest, and Dhoni might be my most favorite player in the world (he isn't), but that doesn't mean I'd take him over Dravid.

Basically you are comparing Dhoni to Dravid and saying Dhoni is better.
...and when you compare lee to lillee, you are the one being utterly ridiculous....

Yeah, Lillee might not be in the same class as Marshall and Ambrose, but sayin he's equal to Brett Lee is a bit of an exaggeration.

Its an exgaggeration to put Lillee as low as Lee. IMO, he's what Akhtar could've been if he had similar drive.

I did not say Lillee was equal to Lee in terms of bowling ability. I said that, on this pitch, like Lee, he would have bowled fast and maybe got a couple wickets.

This is a silly argument to have, but you're vastly underestimating Lillee's accuracy and intelligence as a bowler. Lillee wouldn't have just charged in and put the ball on a length at pace. Hell, he wasn't even that quick for the majority of his career after his injury.

The "black Bradman" at #10.

The List
1. Don Bradman (AUS)
2. Garry Sobers (WI)
3. Jack Hobbs (ENG)
4. Sachin Tendulkar (IND)
5. Viv Richards (WI)
6. Brian Lara (WI)
7. Sunil Gavaskar (IND)
8. Wally Hammond (ENG)
9. Greg Chappell (AUS)
10. George Headley (WI)

The vote for the #11 batsman of all-time begins now.

After consideration, I'll go Steve Waugh. Certainly not far behind Lara IMO, and still ahead of the likes of Ponting. Pollock just didn't play enough test cricket for me.
