Rank these batsmen against high quality pace

Johan

State Vice-Captain
.

On other hand Crowe averaged 43, 38 and 47 against Pak, WI and Aus. Younis Khan averaged 50.6 in Australia, 33 in SAF, and 50 in England.

You guys are way overrating Greenidge and way underrating Younis
Crowe averages 66 in Australia and 46 in pakistan though.

Always thought Crowes away record was a lot better than that. 16 in Ind, 22 in SA, 29 in SL, 30 in WI, 40 in Eng is surprising considering how high he’s rated
Toured WI quite young and really has some ATG performance against them at home. India and SL are low sample sizes (especially India, shows very little), had lackluster bowling and he generally is highly regarded for his batting against pace to begin with. Has great record against Australia, Pakistan and WI on that regard. SA is a little sad though.

Yea I rate him really highly since I don’t care about away records as much as most people. Just surprised by him averaging only 42 away and how many “holes” there are in his record.

Tbf, Crowe has only 3 tests in SA at near the end of his career and just 3 innings in India as his last ever test series, he only toured WI once in his career and played a ATG inning against an ATG attack when he was only 22 years old.

his away stats have context in my opinion.

Voted Crowe over both. Greenidge and Gooch opened and have larger bodies of work so it's close but I've always been very moved by Crowe's batting.
