No lol, I still have enough self respect to not argue "people just didn't know how to play back then" to downplay Bradman or Hobbs.

Rohit? Ganguly? Dhoni? Bevan? Aravinda? M. Waugh? deKock? Guptill?
all of them have been good in test at one point or another, that leaves Dhoni (who was good in test outside Aus/SA), Bevan who didn't have much of a test career and Guptill who is actually just a LO specialist. tho my point was all time greats, so people like — Viv, Sachin, Kohli, De Villiers, ABD and so forth, all happen to be gun test batters. and bowlers like — McGrath, Murali, Wasim, Garner, Pollock, Bumrah etc and all happen to be gun test players. clearly, having a strong core game isn't a negative.
