Got the game today...it really good but i haven't quite got the hang of it...one thing however i did notice is that the actual scoreboard's at the ground change

A couple more hours in the nets with the speakers turned off and i might be able to tell you something positive

I'm having trouble keeping the ball on the ground...if I don't hold shift for every ball will it remedy the problem? Or is it simply a timing thing?

Anzac...there's many options for type of pitch...one of these is dusty...so I figure that you wouldn't have that problem

yeah there was the same options in C2002 - but as I said earlier if you chose a Dusty pitch it was also fast & bouncy with a fast outfield, whereas the subcontinent pitches are generally low & slow with a fast outfield.......

so it's basically the same as C2002 - if you want a medium pace bowler who doesn't swing the ball so much you basically set them up as a 'swing' bowler but don't put any movement on the ball.....

I've had the game for about a week now. I am enjoying it a lot but there are a few problems.
1. Commentary. Boring, and sometimes ridiculous (Benaud saying NZ's Astle. Very amusing). I actually played a game last night and just as Damien Martyn reached his 50 the commentary stopped working for the rest of the game. Turned out to be a good thing.

2. Run Outs. I'm not sure if this is just me but I find it difficult judging whether to run or not. Most frustrating. And the way the batsmen run past the stumps after they run makes it difficult to steal another one after a mis-field. No real batsmen would run past the stumps after the first run anyway.

3. Byes. I've played probably six games (mostly international) so far and each one has had the keeper miss the ball and go for four byes. My team and the cpu. Last night the cpu did it twice in the innings. Not very realistic.

4. The bowling target can be very twitchy and hard to place. Fair enough for a poor or tired bowler, but not for Gillespie in his 2nd. I didn't like this feature in SW99 and I still don't like it.

5. I played a OD international as AUS and tried to change the batting order. The default order had Ponting open with Hayden. Fair enough but I wanted Gilchrist. But I noticed Gilly's attributes as 'middle order batsman' (he is in test cricket). So will changing him to opener when he isn't supposed to be there have an adverse affect? Can you edit his profile for OD and then change it back for test?

That said, I love some features. The grounds, the pitches, the variety of teams and players. The batting strokes are great. No pull shot though. I'm going to have to try manual fielding - some of the CPU placements are stupid.
