Question on ban announcements

That conversation between him and shifty_eyes had a very dire tone - basically calling Pakistan a rogue state, terrorist hotbed and that they deserved financial ruin and complete dissolution. Most of it is what you see in a ToI comment section.

Now, Pakistan doesn't have a perfect record - far from it, and their moralizing about human rights violations in Kashmir sounds extremely selective, dishonest and hypocritical IMO - but I happen to love all the Pakistan posters on this forum, and Teja's comment about cheerleading other countries' misfortunes or "humiliation" not being acceptable was spot on.
So are you saying, in essence, that you agreed with the underlying themes but just wanted to be politically correct because you did not want to offend Pakistani posters on here? Teja's comments have been noted as he was kind enough to actually explain it instead of ranting like some other moderators.

I am glad the Dikki shaped 'facts don't care about your feelings' hole has been filled in NAP.

No, I certainly didn't agree

Funny how you claim to be "the rational guy taking a sensible, central position" elsewhere and yet paint Pakistan as some sort of comic book villain in that entire diatribe with shifty_eyes. What happened to the nuance and context? Or are the UN reports about human rights abuses in the valley by the Indian Army also a liberal conspiracy?

Wrong thread to discuss this. There is an Indian politics thread for this.

Isn't that just how everyone talks in that sub forum tho

Haha, this sanctimony from the guy who bullied Amirfan into leaving. This isn't a CW specific thing at all. Every community places the onus of fitting in on the newcomer.
This is definitely true, but there's no reason why this can't be another thing that CricketWeb is better than other communities than

Not saying newcomers shouldn't have to make an effort to fit in, obviously

No nationalists.

Consider it a new, retrospectively applied rule. Nationalists don’t tend to last long here anyway.

I think people here can vouch for the fact that I am not a guy with a nationalistic ego. That thread was just cancerous for reasons Teja mentioned so it's just a bit needlessly dramatic to whinge about not being accepted here.
And ultimately the reason he got a warning - not even an infraction, a profile warning - was because he tried to spread the exact same stuff into the American politics thread in a completely unrelated discussion, and then tried to go “wut, me guv? no, a complete coincidence!”

I saw Teja referenced earlier a mod.
I love Teja the bloke but I don’t acknowledge him as a moderator. You can’t disappear from the forum for the years then come back and keep giving orders. IMO more than a month inactive should see an automatic loss of moderating powers.

As such, GALP are the real power but basically Cribb and Spark with a bit of Dan are the real mods. Everybody else should be ignored.

Lies. You didn’t have the intelligence to separate a POV from yours. Lazy cowardly moderation. The discussion was around American foreign policy and I even referred to it. You’re exposing yourself as discriminatory and dictatorial. Thanks for proving my point.

Also, I’m not a nationalist. I’m not even an Indian citizen you dimwit. Your allegations are as lazy as your analytical skills. You should upgrade your comprehension skills.

To be honest, ban me if you want. IDGAF, I hope the owner and other ppl realize the circle jerk you guys have going on in here. Also, tbh you’re as racist and intolerant as the very nationalists you hate. Hypocrite.
