Indeed. South Africa really didn’t get out of first gear last night and didn’t need to but how anyone expected England to win this game is probably gone in the head. To win you need to score points, how can you do that when you have no backs?The worrying thing is, is that SA didn't even play that well, du Preez had an awesome game.
And when you consider that the majority of the back line wouldn’t beat CJ van der Linde in a sprint, it comes as no surprise to see that England were never going to trouble the scorers in ‘open play’.
What makes me laugh the most is that Brian Ashton came into the job saying England were now going to play expansive rugby, what a crock of ****e.
