India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on Tuesday said the incident in Sydney early this year inspired his side to the historic 2-0 thrashing of the Australians and challenged Ricky Ponting that he would dismiss him any time, even without playing Cricket for six months.

The Punjab offie said he did not consider Ponting a 'complete batsman' as the Australian captain had failed to leave a mark against the Indians.

"Ponting had a lot to say about our players and about the way we play our cricket. In fact, it is Ponting who first needs to go and learn to bat against spin bowling.

Who said success only in India makes you a "complete batsman"?

And I wasn't talking about Australian batsmen - although they go under the same umbrella - but Harbhajan's too. Out of the two sides, the most complete record is Ponting's. So to hear that he isn't "complete" is just funny...because that would mean no one on either side is - or in World cricket is.

Depends how you define complete. His is as good as almost any in the world though. In any case, even if his average were 0 in the entire subcontinent, the weight of his runs elsewhere would make him a more complete player than Harbhajan. Non issue.
